P4.express

The minimalist program management system

Manual

What is P4.express?

P4.express is a minimalist method for managing programs.

Being minimalist means that it avoids clutter and complexity by focusing on the essential aspects. Being a method means that it provides a step-by-step approach rather than a set of guidelines or a piece of software.

A program is a flexible setup we use to enable and sustain expected outcomes using the outputs of multiple projects. Program management can also be called “change management”.

Why P4.express?

Most people are aware of the importance of project management but not program management.

There’s always a program implied behind any project, but many overlook that and limit themselves to running projects, which can lead to considerable losses. Programs help us ensure that the extra things needed to enable the expected outcomes are done and that they are also sustained.

How does P4.express work?

P4.express offers you a step-by-step method throughout your program. This method has 6 groups of activities with a total of 29 management activities in them. Each activity clearly defines what you have to do. It also has 5 documents and 5 roles.

P4.express is fully described in its online manual.

The Project Ecosystem

OMIMO is a family of the following modules, each designed to solve a different set of problems. There’s no single “best” module, but the right choice depends on your situation. Instead of picking the most popular type of module, identify your primary problems, then choose the module that addresses it best.
