European Union's Erasmus+ program has sponsored OMIMO
We’re happy to share that OMIMO has been awarded support from the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme for a new project: OMIMOPM - Open Minimalist Modules for Project Management Skills.
With this funding, we’ll expand the OMIMO ecosystem with practical, open, and accessible resources that help low- and medium-skilled, work-aged adults strengthen the project skills they need in today’s job market, with specific attention to learners with visual impairments.
What we will build
Across the project (October 2024 – August 2026), the consortium will develop and test a set of outputs that work together:
- a scenario-based skill assessment tool that identifies individual project skill gaps and generates a personalised learning roadmap
- a micro-credential standardisation syllabus to support recognition of project skills
- modular courseware (for digital and hybrid delivery) that VET providers can adapt to learner needs
- a digital interactive project-skill simulator to practice skills through realistic, work-based scenarios
- adaptable self-study packages, built from a curated resource matrix + newly developed materials where gaps exist
Consortium partners
This project is delivered by a European partnership including:
- EMPII Group (Belgium)
- Sligo Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Ireland)
- Institute for Postgraduate Studies (Bulgaria)
- Wakaru Oy (Finland)
- Malta Society of the Blind (Malta)
Open, accessible, and reusable
As with the broader OMIMO initiative, the ambition is clear: keep outputs practical, lightweight, and easy to reuse, while meeting accessibility needs so more people can benefit from project skills development independently or via VET providers.
