Education Partners Accreditation Program

This page explains the Accreditation program of education partners (e.g., training organizations) for OMIMO modules. There’s also an Accreditation program for individual trainers.

Subject

OMIMO modules are open and free (libre), with a Creative Commons Attribution license, which means that anyone who is interested can teach them without seeking permission and without paying a fee.

Note: While OMIMO modules are libre, your derived works don’t have to be so, and you can use OMIMO content for commercial purposes.

While any organization can provide training, only a subset of them receive designations such as Accredited P3.express Education Partner or Accredited micro.P3.express Education Partner based on the criteria defined in this program.

Goal

The ultimate goal of this program is to help create an ecosystem where learners receive high-quality, practical training courses.

Updates

This program may be updated in the future. Updates will be kept as compatible as possible with the previous versions so that organizations can rely on the program for their long-term plans.

Accredited education partners will be informed of the updates via email.

Scope

Each module is Accredited separately, and each partner can be Accredited in one or more modules.

Benefits

Accredited Education Partners receive the following benefits:

• They are allowed to use the designation of their Accredited module.
• They can buy vouchers of their Accredited module at a discount.
• They will be listed on the website.

Designations

Partners who become Accredited in each of the following modules can use any of the listed designations of that module:

• P3.express
  • Accredited P3.express Education Partner
  • Accredited P3P Education Partner
• micro.P3.express
  • Accredited P3.express Education Partner
  • Accredited µP3P Education Partner

Partners also receive an Accreditation badge that they can use on their websites, posters, etc.

Requirements

The following are the requirements for becoming an Accredited education partner in a module:

• Have at least one Accredited Trainer for that module.
• Be an active training provider with at least 12 learners in that module every year.
• Have a passing rate of at least 70% for all learners in that module.
• Have a satisfactory result for qualitative learner evaluations.

Cost

Accerditation is free of charge.

The Accreditation process

The following is the Education Partner Accreditation process for a single module:

1. Send your request to info@omimo.org.
2. As soon as you satisfy the requirements (which may take a few months), your designation will be issued.
3. Your Accreditation continues as long as you meet the requirements. If you fail to meet them, an Accreditation Officer will inform you, help you understand how to fix it, and give you some time to do so. If you can’t fix the issue, your Accreditation will end, but you can apply again later when you’re able to meet the requirements.

Privacy

To respect learners’ privacy, only the aggregated and anonymized results of evaluations will be shared with the Accredited Education Partners.
